The Discovery Museum

Discovery Museum started life in an Exhibition Park, Newcastle in 1900’s as the Municipal Museum of Science and Industry, the first science museum outside of London. It was housed in the temporary pavilion that was built for the 1920’s for North East Coast Exhibition.

Life Science Centre is the public face of Life attracting up to 300,000 visitors annually in Newcastle upon Tyne. Highlights include the wide 60 seaters state-of-the-art planetarium, the region’s only 4D Motion Ride and interactive exhibits and activities for people of all ages and interests can come here.
